7Fiction Design Breakdown

Since 7Ficion site looks pretty empty at the moment , let have a quick look on it’s design breakdown . The target of the design is scored by being minimalistic , while bringing some dreamy effect .The overall construction is simple , mainly containing Div container , overlay-ed by other Divs, and they look like this

Speaking of the graphics , the banner was done by utilizing the Adobe Photoshop’s pen tool in creating lines . Next , lighting effect is being added to the lines . Moving on, brushing and smudging technique is applied to create the cloudy effect thus materialized the intended dreamy look.

Besides , transparent .gifs are used as Divs background for sidebar and content’s text with the former intention to minimize contrast between text and background , achieving better readability . The latter is obviously to improvise the site’s design . Do make note that IE6 doesn’t support image transparency . T_T
